goddamn netflix

For all of you that have been asking what I’m going to do on my year off-you will recall my answer has been “either a lot of things, or I might just watch everything on Netflix.”

So Tom and I decided to start a new series.  “Making a Murderer” just came out on December 18 and everyone is talking about it.  So we thought, “hey, this will be a good thing to start watching-maybe watch it over the holidays.”  In case you’re wondering, here is a blurb about it: Making a Murderer

This next part is embarrassing.  We watched 1 episode the first day.  We watched 2 episodes the next day.  Then we couldn’t sleep.  We were both OBSESSED with the show.  The 3rd day we watched 7 episodes.  Yes, these are 1 hour long shows.  Yes, that is 7 hours of TV in one sitting.  WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH US?  We are happy that we did this too.  It gave us our lives back from wondering about what would happen.  WE ARE HAPPY WE WATCHED 7 HOURS OF TV IN A ROW.  You should be holding a gavel right now and judging us.

This is the part where I don’t necessarily recommend watching this particular show.  Because I feel you too will watch it the same way we just did.  And that is not good for you.

There is a part of me that feels like throwing my TV in the garbage.  Maybe cancel my Netflix?  Na, probably not.

But now at least you know where my fear of “watching everything on Netflix” comes from.  The struggle is real.

Isn’t this the curse of Netflix? Binge watching every series you come across? This has been my experience. I have had to limit myself on Netflix and not allow myself to watch new TV shows for this very reason. Kelsey and I are halfway through the series… an interesting one for sure

Definitely gonna start this one. We just came off the obsession with Madmen – 7 seasons! So much TV, so little time.

Started watching Master of None. Wasn’t sure at first but it has a lot of serious, poignant stuff to say but with a sense of humour. I would compare this show to Louie, which I also love.
