lesson 1

By on January 1, 2016

Oh boy.  And just like that, it’s 2016.

The year.  It starts today.  So many pressures to take full advantage of the time and make the most of it.

hungover because...

hungover because…

So what did I do?  Well, first I was hungover, so I slept in.  Then I went out for delicious raspberry banana pancakes.  Then I watched very bad for me TV (600lb Life) then I had a nap.  And just like that it’s 3 o’clock.  Yeah, way to start things off.

However this is the year where I let that shit go.  I will endeavor to be productive and most of the time I will.  But I will also be kinder to myself.  So my first lesson of the year-you didn’t accomplish what you said you would and that’s just fine.

After 3, I showered, headed out for dinner with Tom and a really nice walk around the city.  Now I’m writing a few notes and get down to some good reading-it won’t be a wasted day after all.

I was going to get a picture of the sunrise on the first day of the year, but instead I got a pic of the sunset on the first day of the year.  Sunrise, sunset-I can be grateful for either one.

Also, I am open to any suggestions on books, articles, music, activities, movies you want to throw at me.  Annette and I are now reading “How to Live” by Sarah Bakewell.  It appears to be the right book at the right time for me.  Read about it here :How to Live  I’ll probably give you a review of it when I’m done.  But if I don’t, I will forgive myself.  Haha.

And we’re off!  Well, basically.
