Alma IQ is assessment technology rather than a treatment. Objective skin imaging is used to look beyond what is visible on the surface, supporting a more informed conversation about which treatments may be appropriate and allowing progress to be compared over time.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal targets hair at the follicle to reduce unwanted hair over a planned series of sessions. Candidacy, comfort, and the number of sessions that may be appropriate depend on hair and skin characteristics and are reviewed at consultation.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL uses broadband light to address concerns such as sun-related discoloration, uneven tone, and facial redness. It is often chosen when the goal is overall clarity and a more even complexion rather than a single isolated spot.

ClearLift Collagen Renewal

For patients searching for microneedling alternatives, ClearLift offers a different approach to skin rejuvenation. Rather than using needles to mechanically create micro-injuries, ClearLift uses Q-switched laser energy to create a controlled effect beneath the skin's surface while leaving the epidermis intact. It can be used to address concerns such as skin texture, fine lines and pigmentation while supporting collagen remodeling.

Pixel Peel CO₂

Laser and light treatments work by delivering energy that pigment, hemoglobin, or water in the skin absorbs. Skin tone changes how that energy behaves, so it belongs at the start of the conversation.

The Fitzpatrick Scale describes skin partly by how it reacts to sun exposure: how readily it burns, how readily it tans. It is a shorthand clinicians use when talking about energy-based treatment, because more melanin in the skin means more competition for the light being delivered. That affects which technology makes sense and how it is set.

It is only a starting point, though. Two people with the same Fitzpatrick type can have very different pigmentation, very different histories with the sun, and very different concerns. Kerri looks at the skin in front of her before she looks at the device.

She treats a wide range of complexions, including Asian, Black/African-American, and other patients with melanin-rich skin. In practice that means adjusting the technology and the settings to the person, and occasionally saying that a particular laser is not the right tool for a particular skin. When that happens, she will explain why and talk through the alternatives.
